A couple posing as photographers once stole Bettie's designs. They copied her bikini creations and sold them as their own.

Appearing in
the January 1955 issue of Playboy, Bettie was one of the magazines first
centerfolds. She played Santa in the special holiday issue.

In 1950 a New York City policeman named Jerry Tibbs had a chance encounter with the lovely Bettie Page. His hobby was photography and he offered to help with her portfolio. He is also responsible for Bettie's trademark bangs. "Jerry said I had a high protruding forehead, and that I'd look good with bangs. I've been wearing them ever since." - Bettie Page

Betty Mae Page was born on April 21, 1923 in Jackson, Tennessee. While still young, she and brother Jimmy changed the spelling of their names to Bettie and Jimmie.
